LSAW steel pipe
LSAW steel pipe (Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welding abbreviated as LSAW) is a straight seam submerged arc welded pipe. LSAW steel pipe is using a single sheet of plate as raw material, the steel plate in the mold or machine pressure into the mould tube, using double-sided submerged arc welding. Its product sizes range, weld toughness, plasticity, uniformity and compactness is better, with a large diameter, wall thickness, high pressure, low temperature corrosion resistance and so on. In the construction of high-strength, high-quality long-distance oil and gas pipelines, the required steel pipe are mostly large-diameter thick-walled LSAW pipes. According to the API standard, in the large-scale oil and gas transmission pipeline, when through the alpine zone, the seabed, urban densely populated areas such as Class 1 and Class 2, straight seam submerged arc welded pipe is the only designated applicable tube.
